Clarence Coleman took over as Assignment Secretary in 2008. A 35 year veteran of
the KBUA, former SEC umpire and a teacher for JCPS, Clarence was a perfect fit for
our association and high school baseball in Jefferson County. Since taking on the
role as Assignment Secretary, he has been instumental in developing a training program
for rookie umpires and continuing education for 1-3 year officials, assuring our
member schools that the KBUA will continue to provide competent and qualified umpires.

the Year. The KBUA is honored to have Clarence as its Assignment Secretary and appreciates
his dedication and service to the association.
